After a somewhat disappointing first attempt, 3M returns to the fray with the MPro120, a successful review with significant improvements.
The device is intended for professional users who need to project content anywhere and has an internal battery that provides up to 240 minutes of battery life.
The product quality is obvious as soon as we get the package, featuring a built great and the feel of the materials.
The design is correct, although we missed some additional protection system for optics and minor details like a more secure anchor for the video connector or a better resistance of your foot down.

The projector can be installed on any tripod includes one very practical or directly on the table thanks to a drop-down tab.
3M includes a VGA cable with audio input and one component video to connect the projector to a computer, a camera, mobile. and a charger with adapters for all types of plugs nice considering the character commuter gadget.
Optionally we can purchase an adapter cable for iPhone / iPod, one for HD equipment or car charger, among others.
The 3M MPro120 can project images up to 50 inches, with a native resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.
Also supports SVGA 800 x 600, XGA 1024 x 768, WXGA 1,280 x 800, 1,280 x 768.
Its 12 lumens is enough for the purpose of the device as long as we control the lighting in the room and the lamp has an estimated life of 20,000 hours.
Tried the projector connected to a laptop and a digital camera obtaining acceptable results but, as often happens with this type of device, its brightness level is too low.
The larger the image we project brighter and more darkness lose need to not lose quality by limiting its use to scenarios where we can control the lighting.
For a room with dim ambient light should not exceed 30 inches in diagonal pitch dark while yes we can get to 40 without significant loss in image quality.
Another problem inherent in this type of projectors are gray tinted little too close to black and in most cases.
Overall the 3M MPro120 does well with to be the wild : presentations, diagrams, photographs, maps, etc.. but pales in multimedia content where color fidelity and resolution to become fundamental.
The audio section is surprisingly good considering the small size of dispisitivo, with enough volume for a medium sized room and a quality more correct.
In our tests of autonomy the 3M MPro120 exceeded two hours of uninterrupted brightness mode normal mode an hour and showing a film from a computer.
An excellent brand, but lower than announcing the frabricante. An interesting aspect is that the device can project while recharging its battery.
Conclusions :
The 3M MPro120 is a product necessarily limited given its portability. Besides the technical penalty, miniaturization has consequences in the final price, reasonable considering its specifications but that put it out of reach of the casual user
The users really need a portable projection system will not find anything better on the market.
The image quality is sufficient and excellent autonomy brings added value to the product that will be more appreciated by travelers.
If the need is not urgent we think it’s worth waiting for prices to moderate and improve the image quality of this type of solution.
