by admin on September 5, 2012

Facebook just bought Gowalla, location network with which it intends to continue working in one of its major objectives, developing your Timeline.

Gowalla, is available for iPhone and devices based on Android and has as its main protagonist Facebook on your home page.

Since its inception, the geolocation service has recorded about ten million dollars in funding from venture capital firms and other investors currently has about 600,000 members.

According to sources, most of Gowalla’s employees, including included its founder Josh Williams, will move to Facebook’s offices in Palo Alto, California.

So far, they have not transcended the terms of the agreement, nor the amount that the social network would be paid for with Gowalla.

In fact, neither company has confirmed the news. Its representatives have said only that both Facebook and Gowalla “do not comment on rumors and speculation.”
